Master Data Quality & Duplicate Analysis

Master data without duplicates

Duplicate customers and suppliers cost money, skew reporting and make migrations risky. Conjola checks your vendors and customers with shipped standard checks, uncovers duplicates and gives the reason for every finding.

What the analysis shows

Scattered master data becomes a list of what stands out — and only that.

Duplicates with a reason

The same email address or phone number links two records; the same VAT ID or tax number only together with a similar name. Name and address are compared together — even with first and last name swapped, a different legal form or a typo, always within the same country.

Checks that say what they check

Every check rests on one of six fixed patterns and states its fields, condition and threshold in one sentence. Standard checks for vendors and customers ship with it, including completeness, duplicates and the VAT ID matching the country. What is mandatory is up to you — say, per account group.

Only findings, each with a reason

The list shows only objects with a problem: ID, name, address, the affected view and the reason in one sentence. “Not checked” and “checked, nothing found” look visibly different.

How the analysis runs

From the extract to the list of findings.

01

Extract

One SAP report reads every object type. You pick object types, company codes and purchasing and sales organizations; the extract states what it contains.

02

Import

Upload right in the module — the same path and the same log as any other extract, no direct system access. Only the fields a check needs are stored.

03

Check

The standard checks run again with every import. A deletion flag applies at its level: set generally, the record counts nowhere; set in one company code, it doesn't count there.

04

Findings

Duplicates and gaps appear in the platform with reason and view. You can delete a data set again when needed — after a confirmation showing the figures that will go.

Why it matters for your migration

Clean master data is the prerequisite for every successful migration.

Migrate clean, not twice

Catching duplicates before migration means no duplicate customers and suppliers in the new system — and reliable reporting from day one.

Migration from several systems In development

Extracts from several SAP systems are to be checked together in one landscape: which customers and suppliers already exist across system boundaries? The matches appear as candidates for merging, separate from the assessment of each individual system.
